Suqaar (Stir-fried meat)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef or chicken, cubed small
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 green chili, sliced

Preparation:

  • Cook meat: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Add vegetables: Add onion, bell pepper, and tomatoes. Cook 5 minutes until softened.
  • Season: Stir in cumin, paprika, and chili (if using). Cook 3 minutes until fragrant.
  • Serve: Serve with bariis or canjeero.
