BBC Somali Service – Launched in 1957, it broadcasts from London and Nairobi

Iftiin FM – Kenyan government-owned radio station based in Nairobi

Iqra FM  – Nairobi-based station broadcasting Islamic content in Somali, Swahili and English

La Voix de Djibouti (Voice of Djibouti) – A radio station launched in 2010 and based in Paris

Mustaqbal Radio – Independent station established by a group of prominent journalists, lawyers, human right activists and businesspeople in 2011 and based in Mogadishu

Radio Baidoa – Privately owned radio station based in the southwestern Somali city of Baidoa

Radio Daljir –  One of the largest network of FM stations in Somalia and is headquartered in Mogadishu

Radio Dalsan – Privately run station based in Mogadishu

Radio Galkayo – Privately run station and one of the oldest in Somalia

Radio Garowe – independent radio station based in Garowe and affiliated with leading news website Garowe Online.

Radio Goobjoog – Independent station headquartered in Mogadishu

Radio Hargeysa – This is Somaliland’s official radio station and is based in Hargeysa.

Radio Kismayo – It is a radio station owned and run by the Jubbaland regional administration and is based in the port city of Kismayo

Radio Konfurgalbeed – It is a radio station owned and run by South West State regional administration and is based in the southwestern city of Baidoa

Radio Kulmiye – Independent radio station based in the Somali capital

Radio Midnimo – Somali-language station covering Nairobi and northeastern Kenya

Radio Mogadishu –  Federal government-run broadcaster based in the capital

Radio Puntland – Puntland’s official radio station based in Garowe

Radio Risaala – Independent radio based in Mogadishu and launched in 2001

Radio Shabelle – Leading privately owned radio station based in Mogadishu

Radio Simba – Privately run station broadcasting on 95:00MHZ in Mogadishu

Radio Television Djibouti (RTD) – It is the national broadcaster based in Djibouti city and broadcasting in Arabic, Somali, Afar and French

SBC Radio & TV – The Somali Broadcasting Corporation was established in 2001 and based in northeast Somalia

Somali National Army Radio – It is the voice of the Somali National Army and is based in Mogadishu

Star FM – Nairobi-based independent radio station broadcasting mainly in Somali to northeast Kenya

Voice of America – VOA’s Somali service, established in 2007, broadcasts original news and other programming daily

Wajir Community Radio – Station based in the northeastern Kenyan city of Wajir and broadcasting to marginalized and nomadic communities, who lead a mobile lifestyle
