Osman Saleh Mohammed

Osman Saleh Mohammed is an Eritrean politician and member of the People’s Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ).
Educated at Haile Selassie University with a B.Sc., he was a fighter in the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF) during the independence struggle, serving as head of EPLF schools in Sudan and the EPLF Education Department.
After Eritrea’s independence in 1993, he became the first minister of education and in 2007 was appointed minister of foreign affairs, a position he held as of 2025.
