Milk with Dates or Figs

Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 6-8 pitted dates or dried figs, chopped
  • Optional: Pinch of cardamom or cinnamon

Preparation:

  • Prepare: Warm milk in a small pot or microwave until steaming (don’t boil).
  • Combine: Divide dates or figs between two cups. Pour warm milk over them.
  • Season: Sprinkle with cardamom or cinnamon if desired.
  • Serve: Let sit 1-2 minutes to soften fruit, then enjoy.
