Arefaine Berhe

Arefaine Berhe is an Eritrean politician who has served as the minister of agriculture since 1997, succeeding Tesfai Ghirmazion.
A member of the People’s Front for Democracy and Justice,  Berhe has been a key figure in the country’s agricultural policy under president Isaias Afwerki.
His tenure focuses on promoting sustainable farming practices, such as organic fertilizers, and advancing agricultural development projects like the Dirfo Dam to support collective farming.
