BBC Monitoring, which monitors open-source media in multiple languages for the BBC and other organisations, is recruiting a journalist for its bureau in Nairobi on a full-time, continuing basis.
Tasks will include identifying news and key insights based on the monitoring of media sources, producing content in English, feeding into the global news agenda and acting as a point of reference on Sub-Saharan Africa.
Candidates must have excellent knowledge (spoken and written) of one of the following languages: French, Swahili, Kinyarwanda and/or Kirundi.
Experience as a journalist and exceptional writing skills in idiomatic English are also required.
